Today I woke up, grabbed my phone while lying in bed like I do every morning and read some of my twitter stream. I began to see tweets about Maurice Sendak and my heart sank, I completely stopped what I was doing and flew through the stream to find what I did not want to find, an “RIP”. 

I’ll be honest, I am more of a fan of Maurice as a person than I will ever be of his work. He was so profound and honest, the earth has lost an extremely rare and truly great human being. I never knew him, but I’m going to miss him.
