“Here’s what I truly believed happened during the last presidential election:
The GOP knew they were in a world of shit. They just oversaw the surplus that Clinton created turn into the next Depression in 8 short years. They did this by waging two unfunded wars while lowering taxes to appease the people and letting banks regulate themselves allowing for market Armageddon.
However, they know that Americans are a stupid and forgetful lot. They knew that they would be able to pin it all on the black guy…somehow.
Now, McCain needs a running mate. Out of the large pool of fully qualified, educated, and experienced possibilities he chooses…Palin? An unknown, inexperienced nobody from Alaska?
They intentionally threw the election. It was a plan to lose to Obama so they could blame the last 8 years on the Democrats.
And that’s what they did. And it’s working.
They were also lucky enough to win a majority in the House, where they publicly announce that they will do everything they can to stop the economy from getting better so Obama won’t win the next election.
And it’s working because my countrymen are the dumbest, most forgetful motherfuckers to walk this planet.
They blame the job rate on Obama, when it’s NOT the President who creates jobs. They blame the economy on Obama when the President DOES NOT control any Treasury Funds. They blame the stimulus not working on Obama when it’s CONGRESS that decided to fund it.
If more Americans knew how the three branches of the government worked, they know that the President is near-powerless at home.
America’s credit rating was not downgraded because of Obama. It was downgraded because the GOP refused to pass a budget. The deficit and debt are out of control because the GOP refuse to raise taxes, which is the only way the government makes money.
Congress, specifically the GOP, is the reason the nation is in the state it is in. They are intentionally driving America into the ground because they know Americans are fucking morons and will blame the wrong body and party.
Our nation is being dismantled over petty political squabbling.
It’s all the House and Senate.
But Americans are too fucking stupid to know this.”
