Mike Mitchell's Tumblr of Amazing Things.

I’ve been waiting since about September to see Saturn and I’m so stoked it’s back, even if it means going outside in the cold at 5 in the morning to look at it.

The picture itself is a bit out of focus, grainy, etc. but I’m pretty happy with it. You can see the planet itself casting shadows on the ring system on the bottom left. 

This picture was taken using a Rebel through my 18” Dobsonian.
